I have a question about the episode #451: The Body Knows: Reclaiming Health Through Natural Living with Samphire Hayes and the clip Chronic Pain Journey. I own an outpatient physical therapy clinic and specialize in the treatment of complex chronic pain. I'd like to purchase one feel-good treatment option to offer to people interested in finding some immediate modality relief to go along with the longer-term pain neuroscience education and lifestyle medicine that address the complexities of chronic pain. I'm wondering if you have a recommendation for PEMF, red light, sauna, or some combination of all, given what research is out there.
I work with a lot of patients with hypermobility/Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I theorize that there is something either environmental or related to our processed foods acting as an epigenetic trigger for this syndrome, as we are seeing more and more cases. Have you come across any research on this or know of any that is actively in progress? I haven't checked the EDS Society website, but that's probably a good place to start. Just curious. Thanks!
