Episode Highlights
Self-Discovery
Sahara Rose's journey of self-discovery began with embracing her creative side. She started making art, music, and dance, transforming her pain into self-expression. This shift allowed her to see her life as a series of signs guiding her towards her true purpose.
The greatest thing I want to drive home to people is, like, right now it feels like your biggest living nightmare. And it is. And the reason why you chose it and the reason why it needed to get this bad is because this is the level that you needed to get to for you to make a shift.
---
Sahara's surrender to self-discovery led her to new experiences and realizations, such as DJing at festivals and embracing her wild, nomadic spirit. This journey helped her understand that she was the musician she had been searching for all along 1 2.
Embracing Change
Embracing change was a significant part of Sahara's healing process. She embarked on a celibacy journey, viewing her body as a sacred site and transforming her pain into a movement through her album, "My Body Is An Altar." This journey of self-worth and sacredness resonated with many women who shared similar stories of betrayal and self-doubt.
I used to feel like I was maybe operating now on, like, radio channels 800 to 1200, you know, like, that was my spectrum. Now I'm like, zero to 10,000, you know, I'm like, I see a video, I'm crying, then I'm laughing. I'm. This is like, I'm fucking alive, you know? And that's the purpose of life, right? It's just to be more alive. I wouldn't trade that for anything.
---
Sahara's acceptance of change allowed her to experience life more fully, turning her wounds into a path of self-discovery and growth 3 4.
Creative Expression
Creative expression played a crucial role in Sahara's healing journey. She began to post more freely, embracing her wild, feminine side and stepping into her artistry. This process involved sitting with her thoughts, creating melodies, and producing music that resonated deeply with her experiences.
I started to, you know, being in this practice of aloneness without reading books, without listening to podcasts, I would just sit with my thoughts and really dive into them. But then at a certain point, you go through your thoughts and you start, like, for me, I just start coming with melodies and I'm, like, coming up with melodies and I'm, like, writing poems and I'm, like, writing them down.
---
Through this creative process, Sahara discovered new layers of herself and her emotions, ultimately producing music that became a significant part of her healing and self-expression 5 6.
