Struggles

I was working on these amazing big British dramas. And I did that for, like, seven years. And even though it was this kind of dream job, it was 90 hours, weeks, six days a week, and it just was brutal and it was burning me out. And I wasn't sleeping.
---
Sophie's realization that she needed to change her lifestyle came after a particularly stressful job and a significant period of insomnia. She moved to Bali to find clarity and began her journey of self-discovery and healing 1 2.
Emotions
Navigating difficult emotions was a significant part of Sophie's journey. She reflects on the guilt and emotional suppression she experienced growing up, especially with a sick parent and the societal pressure to 'get on with it.' This emotional baggage contributed to her anxiety and insomnia.
I think there was the fact that my aunt died from cancer, and I felt like, well, I shouldn't be upset about my dad being ill because I've still got him. And so it was this constant, like, feeling guilty if I ever felt anything bad.
---
Through therapy and self-reflection, Sophie learned to embrace her emotions and express them fully, leading to healthier relationships and a stronger sense of self-worth 3 4.
